ACCIONA Service is responsible for passenger guidance services at passport controls at Palma de Mallorca Airport

Since July, ACCIONA Service has been providing passenger assistance and guidance services at Palma de Mallorca Airport passport controls, helping passengers to pass through them. 

The contract, for one year term but extendable up to a maximum of three years, has an annual amount of 1.3 million euros.

One hundred people from ACCIONA Service give support at Palma de Mallorca Airport to passengers who have to check their passports, both on entering and leaving our country.

This service consists of helping tourists with ID cards or electronic passports to automatically read them when they use the new automatic passport control systems ABC System. In the same way, they help resolve any doubts they may have and direct them to speed up border crossings, all in support of the work carried out by the National Police Force.

Palma de Mallorca Airport operates more than 35,000 flights a year. This new service joins those that ACCIONA Service already has at its facilities, including passenger assistance, handling operations and load sheets, ticket sales, cargo and de-icing, among others. The company already has more than 1,400 employees working at the airport.
