SAUDI ARABIA PAVILION: EXPO SHANGHAI 2010, CHINA

Design, technical development and museographic execution.

The pavilion design evokes the figure of a boat, symbol of the historical commercial relationship between Saudi Arabia and China. A gentle spiralling upward ramp joins the visit, providing access to the exhibition floor, the flat terrace roof and the exit.

Once on the audio-visual exhibition floor, visitors are taken to the Saudi Arabian Kingdom in a magical, amazing way, through the large-scale multi-projection “The Treasure”, an unprecedented show which immerses them in a sea of beautiful images projected on the concave walls of the inside of the boat-pavilion shell, a record projection surface area of 1,600 m², the largest in the world to date.Once on the audio-visual exhibition floor, visitors are taken to the Saudi Arabian Kingdom in a magical, amazing way, through the large-scale multi-projection “The Treasure”, an unprecedented show which immerses them in a sea of beautiful images projected on the concave walls of the inside of the boat-pavilion shell, a record projection surface area of 1,600 m², the largest in the world to date.
