The replicas of real-life sized Omani historical vessels, and multiple smaller-sized models, provide the museum with the country's own maritime identity. The visit ends with a wheeled 4K ultra-high definition (UHDTV) audio-visual display, which is projected on an 8.3-megapixel screen located in the museum's theatre.
As part of its commitment to “Social Innovation”, the Oman National Museum is the first museum adapted to blind people in the Middle East, and the first museum accessible to people with reduced mobility in Oman.
